JOIN THE SUP

Membership in the National Society of The Sons of Utah Pioneers is open to men everywhere who subscribe to the ideals and values of the early Utah Pioneers. All are invited, who desire to learn more about these noble forebearers and who wish to promote their memory and legacy. To join SUP it is NOT NECESSARY to have Pioneer ancestry.

When living near an organized chapter of the organization, members usually affiliate with a group where they may enjoy the fellowship of other like-minded men and their wives. Stimulating and informative speakers and other activities highlight monthly meetings. Treks to historic places and other special activities add special enjoyment to your membership.

Persons who live some distance from an organized chapter may be a member-at-large. They, with all other members, receive The Pioneer, the quality historical magazine of the SUP, and are welcomed at all national events and as guests with any chapter at any time.

Many members choose to make a lifetime commitment to the SUP organization and to promoting the memory and ideals of the early pioneers, by becoming “Life Members.” See below for details and application forms for membership.

• Demonstrate your forever commitment to the ideals and the memory of the Early Utah Pioneers
• Associate regularly with men and women who honor the accomplishments of the early pioneers and who think and strive for the same values of life.
• Receive a membership certificate suitable for framing.
• Receive, each quarter, the high quality Pioneer Magazine which contains stimulating articles and pictures about our past.
• Participate in chapter and national treks and activities.
• Visit and use the SUP Pioneer Library in the National SUP Headquarters.
• Memorialize your pioneer ancestors on the large plaques in the building.
• Attend the National three-day convention and the day-long National History Seminar.
• Wives are welcome to join in all the activities with their husbands.
