The term “Pioneer values” has often been used to describe the early Mormon Pioneers, but the need for Pioneer virtues exists in our present day ever so much as in the past. Today's world calls for the same faith and purpose, the same courage and determination, the same sacred values that were required of the early pioneers. In every land today there are this kind of pioneers. America needs this kind of pioneers in our own free land -- today, tomorrow and always!
The Sons of the Utah Pioneers invites you to submit short stories of worthy “Modern-day Pioneers” you may know. Please CLICK HERE to see how you might submit a story to be published on our website and saved in the SUP archives. You may also read stories submitted by others, by going to the appropriate link.
Today many wonderful “modern” pioneers are reaching out to the less fortunate in their own communities and nations. The following links will take you to several excellent and inspirational examples of worthy efforts to lift up others in need. Deseret International Foundation (Surgical services in Third World countries). Enterprise Mentors International (Micro lending for the smallest entepreneurs). Zambia's Scholarship Fund (Helping schools and student teachers serve needy children). American Indian Services (Matching scholarships for Indian students).
